A hydrophilic aluminium fin stock is a special aluminium foil for air conditioning systems. It is made of mill finish aluminium foil by a hydrophilic treatment method. Alloys for the raw material foil include 8011, 1100 and 3102. After a raw aluminum foil roll is degreasing, washed, and dried, it is coated with special coatings on its two surfaces, and dried and cooled to make it a highly hydrophilic and corrosion-resistant material. Through this special process, a hydrophilic layer is coated on the foil surface. Condensed water will quickly disperse on the hydrophilic aluminum foil without condensing into water droplets, which increases heat exchange area, speeds up the cooling and heating speed, and effectively avoids the noise caused by condensed water obstructing the air flow.
Hydrophilic aluminum fin stock is the main raw material for the heat exchange fins of household air conditioners. Its quality has a great influence on the heat change efficiency of an air conditioner. Compared to regular fin stocks, it improves the refrigeration efficiency by 5%. in addition, it’s corrosion resistant, mold resistant, and smell free, and will not cause the accumulation of water droplets to block the heat exchange. The adoption of hydrophilic aluminum fin stocks helps to extend the service life an air conditioner efficiently by 5 to 10 years.
