Regular alloys and applications of coated aluminium coil

It seems all alloys can be made into coated aluminium coil, but in practice, only some are produced in large quantities based on their wide applications. Generally coated aluminum coil finds its applications in six fields: building, wild construction, interior and exterior decoration, advertising, transport and electronics. These fall in hundreds of specific uses, but corresponding alloys are only a few, like 1100, 1006, 3003, 3004, 3104, 3105, 5052 etc.

The grade of 1100 is usually made into embossed coated aluminium coil, with roofing (of houses, trucks etc.) as its regular application. The thickness is around 1mm, and width is no more than 1600mm. PE is the most applied paint for 1100 coated aluminum coil. In addition to 1100, there are also 3003, 3004 and 3105 in the aluminium roofing family. These alloys, stronger in hardness and anti-rust ability, can be coated with PE or PVDF. Their service lives prove to be longer, too. In addition to roof covering, rain gutters are also a major use of 3003 color coated aluminium coil rolls. The alloy state of 3003 here is mostly H24. Both sides of the aluminum coil are coated with polyester (PET) paint. The film thickness on the front side is greater than 25um, and the film thickness on the back side is greater than 15um, and the color is durable. In addition, 3105H24 color-coated aluminum coil is also used to manufacture aluminum alloy gutters and aluminum alloy downspouts, with a width between 266mm and 448mm. The basic specifications are similar to 3003.

Other alloys of coated aluminum rolls widely applied in building and wild construction are 3005 and 3104. 3005 alloy is mostly used for more high-end applications, such as roof partitions, mobile board houses, interior decoration of tunnels, various airport decorations, various office furniture decorations, lighting, solar reflectors, air-conditioning ducts, etc. 3104 is used for blinds, cans, rolling doors, garage doors, billboards, signs, etc. Color coated 5052 aluminum coil is more used in electronic products, which determines that its processing process is different from the above products. Due to the high-end and fashionable end products, 5052 is often anodized into color-coated aluminum. Of course, 5052 can also be used for indoor and outdoor decoration, billboards and car surface decoration in the construction industry, and its anti-corrosion effect is more significant than that of ordinary aluminum coils.
