Haomei coated aluminum letter edge strips roll is a special aluminum strip for channel letter products. The roll can be of 1050, 1060, 3003, 3105 or 5005 alloy. Tempers include H24, H26 and H34. The thicknesses are 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1.0mm, width 30mm to 500mm, and inner diameter 150mm, 400mm and 500mm. The surface can be coated, brushed, anodized, mirror polished etc. The process of coated aluminum letter edge strips rolls are as followed. The surface of an aluminum roll is coated with the needed paint, and the painted roll gets slit into narrow strips. The color can be customized by RAL, PARTON or samples. Common paints include PE, HDPE, PVDF, FEVE, with PE and PVDF the most frequently applied.
The coating thickness of one layer is about 18μm, and 25μm for two-layer coating. The PE coating lasts 5 to 10 years, HDPE 8 to 15 years, PVDF 15 to 20 years, and PEVE more than 20 years. The color standard is very high, with E smaller than 2, and no color difference could be discovered by eyeballing. The coating layer does not crack under 1T bending test. Its pencil hardness reaches 2 HB and above. It does not change color or show any change in appearance in boiling water, neither does any change happens after the boiled coated aluminum strip roll sample is left in cooling for 2 hours. The coating adhesiveness of the layer is higher than the first grade, and the layer does not crack under pressure of 50kg/cm.
In addition, our coated aluminum letter edge strips rolls must go through strict corrosive test before being packed. The surface of a roll is immersed deep in the solution with 5% muriatic acid and 5% NaCL, and no change happens after 48 hours of immersion. If you need stricter standards, we can achieve them, too.
