Clear anodized aluminum sheet

A clear anodized aluminum sheet can be mirror finished, brushed, coated and even patterned, only that it has gone through the anodizing process. Brushed sheets have overlapping brushed waves throughout the surface. As they resist fingerprints they are commonly used for restaurant fixtures and wall guards. Coated anodized sheets are actually colored sheets, with colors including blue, green, red, black etc.

As stated in technical parameters of mirror anodized aluminum sheet, perfect alloys for anodized aluminium plates are 5xxx, especially 5005. As an alloy of medium strength, good weldability, and good corrosion resistance in marine atmospheres, 5005 is applied in electronic and shipbuilding. The clear anodized finish adds a protective layer to the surface of the sheet, bringing out a uniform smooth appearance resistant to corrosion and atmospheric conditions. While being used in building construction, the sheet is usually patterned on the front side while mill finished on the back side.

Regular tempers for clear anodized aluminum sheets include h24, h26, h32 and h34. Thickness can be customized, but mostly between 1mm and 10mm. In addition to marine and architecture buildings, they are applied in cosmetic packaging and electronic products, too. Other alloys of 5xxx series, such as 5052, 5083, 5754 and so on, wins equal popularity in the anodizing fields.
