Classification of aluminium foil coil

Aluminium foil coil can be classified by thickness, alloy, surface treatment methods, application etc. Details are as below.

By thickness aluminium foil coil falls on three groups. Rolls between 0.1mm and 0.2mm thick, that is, with a thickness over 0.1mm, are called the heavy duty aluminum foil. Those between 0.01mm and 0.1mm thick are known as medium gauge foil, and those thinner than 0.01mm (thinnest 0.005mm) light gauge foil.

Alloys of aluminum foil coil cover 1060, 1070, 1100, 1235, 3003, 3004, 5052, 8011, 8006, 8021 and 8079. 1070 aluminum foil has high plasticity, corrosion resistance, good electrical and thermal conductivity. 1100 aluminum foil has good formability, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and certain strength. 1060 industrial pure aluminum foil has high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. The aluminum content of 1235 aluminum foil is not less than 99.35%, boasting good anti-rust properties, formability and welding properties. 8021 aluminum foil has excellent moisture resistance, shading and high barrier capacity. 8079 aluminum foil is an aluminum foil with high strength, good elongation and stretchability. All these alloys can be made into aluminium foil of the three thickness ranges mentioned above.

By surface treatment and process methods there are single-side bright aluminium foil (usually 0.025mm thick and below), double-side bright aluminium foil (usually 0.01mm thick and above), mill finish aluminium foil, embossed aluminum foil, laminated aluminum foil, coated aluminum foil and printing aluminum foil.
