Aluminium strip 1mm covers wide ranges of aluminum alloy and application scopes. Regular alloys include 1100, 1050, 1060, 1070, 3003, 3105, 3004, 5052, 8011 and 1235. It can be used as raw materials for cables, cosmetic caps, aluminum composite pipes, aluminum hoses or tubes, electrical transformers, shutters and aluminum batteries etc. While being used in cosmetic caps, its width ranges from 25mm to 100mm. The most frequently adopted alloys are 1100, 8011, 8111 and 3003. Tempers comprise O, H12, H14, H16, H18, H24 and H26.
1100 aluminium strip is a kind of pure industrial aluminum which has the largest content of aluminum element. Its strength and corrosion resistance are weaker than 3003. 3003 aluminum strip is also known as an anti-rust alloy. It contains a certain content of manganese boasting good corrosion resistance. Cosmetic caps made of 3003 strip have better performance against moisture and corrosive materials. 8xxx aluminium mainly contains Al and Li. It’s more frequently processed into aluminum foils than aluminium strips. Li has an even smaller density than aluminum. Owing to higher solubility, it helps to lower the alloy density prominently (normally by 10%), improve the alloy’s hardness and meet the requirement for age hardening. In addition, it keeps the expansion resistance against fatigue cracks in the middle level. This makes it especially advantageous as a raw material for aerial products like planes.
Aluminium strip 1mm ranks as a thick type among alu strips. Most aluminum strips are below 1mm thick. Strips for automobile water tank radiators are only about 0.08mm thick. While being used for cosmetic caps, aluminium strips should not be too thin because the caps will be reused again and again until the makeup inside the bottle is used up. The whole process usually lasts months. If the strip is as thin as that for spirit caps that would be discarded within days after the bottle is opened, finished cosmetic caps would break easily after several times of usage. 1mm is a medium thickness for cosmetic caps. Thicker ones may reach 2mm or even 4mm.
