1070 thin aluminum strips are of 0.1mm to 3.0mm thick and 600mm to 2000mm wide, used for cable, cosmetic caps, composite pipes, transformer, shutter and battery. 1070 aluminum contains 0.20% Si, 0.25% Fe, 0.04% Cu, 0.03% Mn, 0.03% Mg, 0.04% Zn, 0.03% Ti, 0.05% V and 99.7% aluminium. The number of 7 in “1070” refers to that the aluminium content of the alloy is 99.7%. Like other pure industrial aluminum products, 1070 alloy boasts high plasticity, good corrosion resistance and satisfying conductivity. It’s easy to be bent and has good tensile strength.
Annealing process of thin 1070 aluminium strip
1) Complete annealing: heating 390 ~ 430 ℃; with the effective thickness of the material is different, the holding time is 30 ~ 120min; 30 ~ 50 ℃ / h speed with the furnace to 300 ℃, and then air cooling.
2) Rapid annealing: heating 350 ~ 370 ℃; depending on the effective thickness of the material, holding time 30 ~ 120min; air or water cooling.
3) Quenching and aging: quenching 500~510℃, air cooling; artificial aging 95~105℃, 3h, air cooling; natural aging room temperature 120h
Ordinary tempers of thin 1070 aluminum strips include O, H12, H14, H16 and H18. O is the full soft state and H18 full hard state. H12 is 1/4 hard of H18, H14 1/2 hard, and H16 3/4 hard. If the strip is used for transformers, it’s usually of O state.
